Placement test
International students are required to take a placement test before enrolling in a Japanese language course at Yokohama National University for the first time. The placement test schedule will be published in mid-March (for Spring Semester) and in mid-September (for Fall Semester) in the "News & Information" section of the website of the International Student Center. We recommend taking the placement test as early as possible.
If you were unable to attend the placement test, you should contact the Center at the contact information provided on the front cover of the Japanese language program handbook after checking your Japanese level on the "Japanese Level Check" page of the Center's website.
