For Prospective International Students
Yokohama National University (YNU) marked its 60th anniversary in 2009. As a university dispersing a substantial amount of knowledge into the world, it proactively carries out international joint research projects, while making the most of the unique local resources of Yokohama. YNU has five colleges, namely, the College of Education, College of Urban Sciences, College of Engineering Science, College of Economics, and College of Business Administration, and has a total of about 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
At present, international students from over 70 different countries and regions of the world are studying at YNU. In fact, they account for about 9% (a very high percentage) of all YNU students. At the same time, it also proactively promotes exchanges with universities in other countries around the world, both at the university level and the departmental level, resulting in considerable international exchanges in the areas of research (through joint research projects), seminars, and academic conferences.
Despite its urban location in the big city of Yokohama, the campus is situated amidst an abundance of natural greenery and provides a wonderful learning environment. Are you interested in spending your undergraduate or graduate years at YNU?
